How Metroid is it?…Super! That’s how (Super Metroid Review)
Super Metroid is one of my very favorite games. It has been a favorite until fairly recently, in fact. This last few years of amazing game releases has pushed Super Metroid down a few spots. But it’s still one of the very best video games of all time.

I try to remember what the books I’ve written are about
I used to write a lot of fiction. For about 10 years of my life, that’s all I did creatively. Now, I mostly write non-fiction and video scripts. In this video, I pick up my books for the first time in years and try to recall what they are about. It’s weird to think a writer could forget something seemingly so big and important as one of their own books. Maybe it is weird, and I’m just bad a memory.

Sometimes You Gotta Stealth…But Not This Time | Dishonored Review
I had a lot of fun with Dishonored. Once I decided that taking a passive approach with all the sneaking and stealthy thing wasn’t for me, I went the opposite route and ended up really falling into the warm embrace of Dishonored. Will I play Dishonored 2? Eventually. But not yet.

Writing a book about Super Mario Bros 3 can only be a daunting task. I haven’t confirmed this assumption with the author of this book, Alyse Knorr, but if I had asked her and she said it wasn’t daunting, I wouldn’t have believed her. This is a game that’s been played and poured over for decades. It’s often cited by gamers as the best video game ever, or at least their favorite of all time. This is a game that raised the bar for all 2D side-scrolling platformers to come. But beyond all that, writing a book about Super Mario Bros. 3 must surely be intimidating, knowing that so many books have already been written about the game, about the game’s creator, and about the company behind the game.
