Rumor is that Google has been developing a video game project for the last few years. Currently codenamed “Yeti” it’s unclear if this will be a service or if it will involve actual gaming console hardware.

Is What Remains of Edith Finch the Best Walking Simulator Ever?
The credits have rolled on What Remains of Edith Finch. Here’s the set-up: a family curse causes every member but one of the Finch family to die in every generation. That left-alive person lives only long enough to keep the family lineage going for another cursed generation. You play as Edith Finch, this generation’s lone surviving member, as you return to your childhood home to learn more about the curse and to, perhaps, escape it. What Remains of Edith Finch is a walking simulator that delivers its story with variety and creativity without ever buckling under the weight of its heavy message. I’ll be reeling from this one for a long time. This could very well be in my top 5 favorite games of all time. (more…)

I’ve been collecting video game themed coins for a little while. Though I don’t do collection or pick-up style videos, I felt this particular video was warranted as I don’t see too many video game coin videos out there. Let me know in the comments below if you collect video game coins. Are there holy grail coins that I should be looking out for?

I just returned from a vacation in Ormond Beach, Florida, where I played a lot of Mighty Gunvolt Burst on the Nintendo Switch (and yes, I spent a lot of time with my family, too). But all this game-playing while on vacation got me thinking about whether or not I’m doing wrong by my vacation when I’m preoccupied playing video games.
