Here’s the deal: I have a new novel out called I Didn’t Mean to be Kevin in which tourist trap style human body parts museums play an important role. So, I want to know about your unexpected morbid experiences. Simply fill out the form below and you might just see your words posted at calebjross.com.

  1. I saw the BodyWorlds exhibit in socal a few years back, the one by that crazy German dude where he plasticizes the corpses an puts them in various social positions like playing basketball. The skinned dead horse was amazing as well as the segmented body so you could see each layer of the human body. The creepiest though was seeing a nearly microscopic unborn fetus and seeing up close just how tiny a human life could be.

  2. Me too. I loved that exhibit. I saw it in Las Vegas a few years back. It was quite an experience for me. I even mentioned it in my non-fiction piece “A Chinese Gemini” (from my Charactered Pieces collection). It had quite an impact on me. My favorite part was the gift shop at the end; just seemed odd to sell souvenirs of such a morbid experience.
